Several years ago, God gave me a vision to expand our ministry to include a church school. Today, that vision is a reality. September 2, 2003, the Academy opened its doors and welcomed its first students for grades K-8. I feel doubly honored; first, for the privilege of serving as pastor and spiritual leader of a ministry whose season has come, and secondly, that the school board voted to name the academy in my honor gives me a great sense of pride and humbles me, too.
The quality of education being provided to our children at R. A. Hudson Christian Academy is unsurpassed anywhere in the educational arena. This is largely attributed to the quality of the faculty and staff. They endeavor not only to provide our students with the best education possible, but also to instill Christian character. As a result, R. A. Hudson Christian Academy will produce students who will be able to compete academically, as well as become well-rounded, productive citizens, socially. We will be the school of choice for parents who are looking for a quality education for their children in a safe, worry-free environment.
Our mission is to provide a stimulating Christian environment that promotes excellence in character development, academic achievement, individual creativity, and social interaction.
“What we are is God’s gift to us. What we become is our gift to God.”
Education in the elementary school provides the foundation for all academic learning that will follow. It is our philosophy that every child entering R. A. Hudson Christian Academy will receive the best educational background we can provide.
Reading, mathematics, and language arts, our core curriculum, are the basis for the other subject areas: Bible study, science, social studies, word building, and literary appreciation. Socialization is provided through group interaction, recess and playground activities.
Today’s world is characterized by change. As students respond to the educational experiences we provide for them, it is our expectation that they will recognize that school is a challenge, a privilege, a responsibility, a right, and an opportunity. Thus, we are committed to making every effort to meet the needs of all students in granting them the fullest possible educational opportunities.
To the American Flag
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
To the Bible
I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God’s Holy Word. I will make it a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I will hide its words in my heart that I might not sin against God.
To the Christian Flag
I pledge allegiance to the Christian flag, and to the Savior for whose kingdom it stands – one Savior, crucified, risen and coming again, with life and liberty for all who believe.
